Chase shares his personal experience and perspective as a transgender man. Raised in a small town in the 1980s, he understands first-hand the isolation that some LGBTQ+ young people experience, and he knows the difference messages of affirmation, acceptance and inclusion can make on a person’s sense of self, well-being and belonging. Chase uses his personal journey as a jumping off point to discuss what can sometimes be difficult conversations around LGBTQ+ inclusion, transgender identity, and creating inclusive spaces for all people.
